Major cities like bangalore, have increased usage of cars, finding the right parking space is the biggest challenge during peak hours, users dont want to spend time looking for parking space ,and even looking for parking space leads to more blockage of roads and parking on streets lead to theft or heavy fines.

Have you everfaced a situation , where you have to take your car to some nearby place in bangalore and worried about parking space availability
My role
As a freelance Product designer my role was do primary & secondary research,work on visual design considering brand theme and suggest a proof of concept to the team at parkpay.
My Design process
To design a mobile application that will allow users to find parking spaces in times of need and even book them in advance through online methods.
User Research
Key concerns for users who have parked their vehicle in crowded streets of bangalore, these concerns provide a high level view of user pain points and expectations
User Survey
People in banglore use car parking often , most of the time they do park at unknown locations to avoid paying fines , we asked users some key questions which might help us understand the problems faced by user's who park vehicles regularly.
User Problems
A significant portion of parking challenges stem from infrastructural gaps and deeply rooted user behavior patterns.
User Priorities
major priorities include saving time,peace of mind or stress free experience , location support, save and secure payment and service.
User Flow
Userflow was designed based on research and insights we gathered from user’s, the focus was to make the experience as smooth as possible with intention to help user’s achieve their goal or intended action with least resistance.
Final design
An application which can provide a seemless & meaningfull experiences for users who are concerned about booking a parking spot in a city like bangalore.
Challenges Most of parking related problems in India are due to poor infrastructure and vision from bureaucrats, some of the decisions while designing this app was focused on user needs, but there is an another dimension to this problem and that is parking service providers, in future designs we need to consider their role and provide opportunites for them to grow and provide quality services to users.
